Trace is a project that brings together poetry, art and the built environment by creating art installations that highlight the built environment of Rockhampton in new and interesting ways. Local emerging and professional artists will interpret the heritage of the region through five site-specific exhibitions will be held at the Botanic Gardens, Kenmore House (Mater Hospital), Anderson’s City Print Works, Toonooba Park and the Walter Reid Cultural Centre. The works will be open to the public on the weekend of 24 and 25 August 2013 from 2-6pm. Admission to the sites is free, however there are also two special Trace Guided Tours for $55 per person, on Saturday 24 August at 2pm and Sunday 25 August at 2pm. The tour includes a bus tour to the Trace locations and High Tea at the Botanical Gardens Cafe.
Trace is produced by Creative Capricorn, a joint project between the Australia Council for the Arts, Arts Queensland and Rockhampton Regional Council.
