When city-dweller Ren relocates to a small town where dancing is strictly banned, he ignites a movement to challenge the oppressive rules enforced by the local Reverend. With the support of Ariel, the Reverend's spirited daughter, and Willard, a charmingly awkward country native who becomes his close friend, Ren inspires the community to embrace music and dance once again. Along the way, he helps the town confront and recover from a shared tragedy.
