One of the most-read and famous children's books of all time, The Very Hungry Caterpillar emerges off the page in a masterful theatrical experience for children 18 months+ and their adults.

Created by Jonathan Rockefeller, the production features a menagerie of over 75 magical puppets, including the star of the show – The Very Hungry Caterpillar – and an Australian cast who bring these beloved books to life on stage.

Alongside The Very Hungry Caterpillar, the show features three other Eric Carle stories – Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?, Ten Little Rubber Ducks, and The Very Busy Spider.

The team behind the Australian tours of The Gruffalo, Spot, and The 13, 26, 52, 78 & 91-Storey Treehouses will excite, educate and entertain new readers and first-time theatre-goers, while those who grew up with these books will delight in experiencing one of the most popular children's books ever written. MATINEE PERFORMANCES

Matinee performances:  Thursday 27 February at 10am and 12pm.

Matinee performances are predominantly for school groups, however we do hold a limited number of seats in these shows for the public. Matinee performances are not able to be booked online. Please contact the Pilbeam Theatre Box Office on 4927 4111 to book for the matinees. Single ticket prices to the matinees are $20 for adults and $15 for children.

SCHOOL GROUP BOOKINGS FOR MATINEE PERFORMANCES

Matinee performances are not able to be booked online.  To make a school group booking for a matinee, please read this fact sheet and submit this online form. If you require assistance, please contact the Box Office on 4927 4111.

We offer a group discount for  the matinees - $11 for students in a school group, $15 for accompanying adults. A number of adults are admitted free in school groups. See the fact sheet for more details.

Ticket transaction fees may apply to purchases. Fees are based on your method of payment, delivery and the specific event you are attending.

EITHER a fee of $5.40 per transaction will apply for a booking made with the box office by telephone

OR a fee of $1.70 per ticket will apply for tickets purchased online.

Delivery charges if applicable are detailed at Check-Out.

Cash sales in person at the Box Office will not incur transaction fees.
